What we got up to in 2017
The 3rd Bootle Scout Group have been involved in a whole range of different activities over the past 12 months. Here are a few highlights from 2017!
We started 2017 with Beavers and Cubs working towards their Animation for Photographer Badge.
In February two of our Cubs received their Silver Chief Scouts Awards from District Commissioner Paul P-Dawg Clare. It is the highest award that can be gained whilst in Cubs.
March was all about the challenges. Try to get under or over the rope just using your feet – that was the plan anyway!
April was the St Georges Scouts activity day!
In May we remembered those affected by the bombings in Manchester.
What an amazing month June was. The 3rd Bootle Scout Group received the Altside District Award.
We couldn’t have done it without each and every Beaver, Cub, Scout, the leaders and all the parents who have supported us.
What better way to start the school holidays than a gentle paddle on the Leeds to Liverpool canal!
In August the leaders took a well-earned rest.
It’s September and not only did we go back to school but it was also back to group with a change of venue. The 3rd Bootle Scout Group moved from Netherton Moss School to the L30 Community Centre.
The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts worked towards developing their first aid skills.
In November the 3rd Bootle Scout Group became CSI Scouts!
We ended 2017 with a bang as the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts enjoyed their Christmas party.
